Water mist is a process of diffusing water in the form of micro-droplets, allowing for fire control or extinguishment by cooling the fire source and/or surrounding areas, and by reducing the oxygen level at the base of the fire.

Its primary purpose is to reduce the amount of water used for extinguishing while enhancing its effectiveness.
This technology complements traditional sprinkler systems and is only applicable for specific, well-defined risks. Ideal for protecting enclosed and confined spaces, its applications are numerous: hotels, offices, administrative buildings, server rooms, data centers, industrial machinery, turbines, wind turbines, tunnels, etc.

CLF SATREM offers several high and low-pressure solutions, compliant with APSAD D2 or NFPA 750 guidelines, operating within a pressure range of 16 to 140 bars. Several operating modes are associated with these, such as closed nozzles with thermosensitive bulbs, pre-action systems with water supply to networks controlled by fire detection, open nozzles managed by deluge systems, etc.

The systems can be autonomous, with a limited extinguishing duration and coverage, or connected to an 'inexhaustible' water source, electric or diesel, which will be supplied by city water or a water reservoir.
